As model-based approaches to development gain momentum (MDA and MBD), tool vendors are getting in line to claim support. Some tools offer compliance with standards and substantial generation capabilities, while others are just jumping on the marketing bandwagon. Concurrently, different tools support different approaches and methodologies that may, or may not, align with your development organization. Few tools cover the full development lifecycle from business requirements to executable code.
